RSF unequivocally denounces the latest in the long list of abhorrent

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) unequivocally denounces the latest in the long list of abhorrent acts of terrorism committed by the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and its affiliates – the extremist Islamic Movement's special operation battalions. This egregious act of terror resulted in the deliberate massacre of 50 civilians in village 32 in Um Al-Qura in Gezira State, based on racial and tribal grounds. The village was razed entirely.

The SAF, alongside its extremist allies linked to the former regime, publicly committed this racially motivated atrocity. The majority of the victims hailed from specific, targeted regions of Sudan.

This calculated act of violence committed by the SAF and its extremist cohorts is not only an act of terrorism but a crime against humanity, illustrating their intent to incite conflict and propel the nation toward civil war.

This brutal assault on innocent civilians who were singled out for their racial and tribal affiliations highlights the perilous path chosen by the SAF, its extremist minders from the former regime, the Islamic Movement, and the Popular Defense. Their strategic objective is clear: to transform Sudan once more into a regional and global hub of terrorism, spurred by their acknowledgment of defeat in this misguided conflict.

The RSF, while condemning these atrocities that rise to the level of war crimes and crimes against humanity, urges the international community to list the SAF and its allied extremist brigades linked to the former regime as terrorist entities. Furthermore, we demand the prosecution of their leaders for war crimes, especially the notorious SAF General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan.

These heinous actions reinforce our commitment to eradicate the former regime and establish a renewed Sudan founded on the principles of peace and democracy, while destroying all traces of injustice, marginalization, and suppression. Our aim is to secure freedom and equality for all Sudanese under a legitimate democratic regime.
